Cenk later realized the reason they dont simply punish the cop that broke rules to get the evidence is because they would rather let criminals go than punish cops. Ana talks about how her boyfriend’s sister is a cop, and doesn’t know how to discuss cop stories with her when she’s adamantly on the other side. Cenk tells the story of lying during his time as a prosecutor.

Cenk hosting today. A horrible terrorist attack taken out by the Taliban happened in Pakistan today. 141 people were killed, including 132 children aged 12-16. The leader of another terrorist group spoke out against this attack, claiming that it gives ‘jihad’ a bad name. Cenk rails on the ridiculous nature of fundamental Christianity and Islam that breed this kind of murder. A new poll showed that a majority of Americans are ok with torture, believe torture works, and didn’t want to know the details of the torture program. Descriptions of the unreleased pictures of the tortured detainees tell a horrific story. Video of Brian Kilmeade accidentally admitting that if we release the pictures of torture, we won’t be able to characterize ourselves as benevolent. Cleveland Browns player Andrew Hawkins responded to the police union leader’s demand for an apology for wearing a t-shirt in support of the murdered Black citizens at the hands of the police. Video of parts of his response that did not include an apology. Cenk reads other parts. Despite the eloquent statement, Jeffrey Follmer rebuked his stance on MSNBC and justified the killing of Tamir Rice. Multiple videos of Follmer making an ass out of himself. Cenk goes off again. Stunning numbers on average household wealth among White families vs. Black families. $81K vs $11K. The median White household is 13x greater than the median Black household. These wealth gaps exist regardless of education. Just before the vote on the spending bill, Elizabeth Warren spoke out on the egregious power wielded by big banks like Citi. After a police officer in NC pulled a man over for a broken brake light, it was discovered that having one isn’t actually legal. The SCOTUS ruled that although the cop’s knowledge of the law was wrong, it is legal for them to pull people over if they have a misinterpretation. Barbara Walters has deemed Amal Clooney the most fascinating person of the year because she married George Clooney. She called the feat one of the greatest achievements in American history.
