Democratic establishment is nudging Sanders to drop out of the race and stop criticizing Hillary Clinton. Video of a Black Trump supporter sucker punching and kicking a Trump protester as he’s ushered out of a rally. Reince Priebus told CNN that the media is partially to blame for the violence being fueled at Trump events. Video of his explanation of the 24/7 loops of news about the fights. The favors of the Clintons over the last decade, have seemingly finally added up to some delegate votes for the current election. As Sanders doesn’t have same leverage, his campaign has been less affected by the “elbow rubbing” the Clintons have been able to employ during their campaign, and leads to their established reputation as politicians. Cenk speaks now about Garland. Republicans are backpedaling from criticism of Supreme Justice nominee, Garland. Now saying “He is the best candidate from a Democratic president.” Video of MSNBC with Kasich. Kasich suggesting he would also consider choosing Garland for candidate. Merritt Garland’s more liberal stance on marijuana, has lead to grumbling from DEA. Questionable decisions from Garland include: Garland agreeing with Citizens United about giving unlimited amount of money to Super-Pacs. Garland also approves transfer of detainees to allow more torture. Lastly, he disagreed with Habeas Corpus, the presenting of the body, or suspect in court. Under Habeas Corpus, the government has to try suspects, before taking action. Cenk and Hannah debate this topic. Hannah presents a story about a hate crime, that will not be prosecuted. The case involves two gay men being assaulted by a man, who poured burning hot water on them, to “separate” them. Cenk and Hannah discuss the importance and effectiveness of hate crime legislation. Austin, Texas police pepper-spray man who was already handcuffed. The man was kicking the door of the police van. An investigation has been launched into the policeman’s behavior. Cenk and Hannah both agree that the man displayed annoying behavior, but that doesn’t mean it’s ok to pepper-spray someone who’s already handcuffed. Recent UK poll people prefer a great internet connection over hot water, sunlight and other basic needs.
