Carly Fiorina tweeted out a pic of her Townhall event without showing the lack of a crowd. Pictures of the perception and the reality. Bernie Sanders proposal on fossil fuels. Donald Trump introduced his proposal to ban all Muslims from entering the country. Video of him reading his total and complete shutdown until our representatives can “figure out what is going on.” Conservatives came out in droves against this fascist plan from Trump. Video of Dick Cheney disagreeing with the idea. Video of Chris Cuomo arguing with Trump over his proposal. Video of Greta Van Susteren challenging Trump on his plan. Video of Joe Scarborough cutting off Trump’s filibuster with a commercial break while they fought about the Muslim ban. Elected officials also spoke out against Trump. Video of Paul Ryan loudly speaking out against the proposal as Speaker of the House. Jeb Bush, Lindsey Graham, and John Kasich tweeted their displeasure. Lindsey Graham also went after Ted Cruz over his silence on Trump. Video of Cruz saying he disagrees with the proposal, but that he won’t criticize Trump, and that he likes The Donald. Cenk points out how Cruz actually has recently proposed bills that are similar to what Trump is asking for. The Philadelphia Daily News depicted Trump as “The New Furor” on their cover story. Video of Trump responding to the criticism by praising FDR’s policies of internment camps and systematically alienating foreign born people. Video of Trump telling supporters that we should all profile Muslims, especially since he’ll back them up. Fox News has circled the wagons around fellow bigots after Obama warned the country of Islamophobia after the latest terror attacks. Video of multiple hosts and guests trying to dispel the presence of Islamic fear in America. Ana joins Cenk for SCS. A couple of Dutch men read excerpts from the Bible to people on the street, telling them it was from the Koran and got their reactions. Video of their answers that included disgust with anyone that would believe such a thing, and that it is par for the course with Muslims. Ted Cruz told supporters at a campaign stop a false story of a high school girl that was threatened with arrest for praying at her graduation. The real story denied the girl and her friend the authority to pray in her graduation speech, while criminal threats were never even brought up. A Nigerian British couple kept a Nigerian slave for 24 years, and has just been busted. A young man decided to prank his family over the holidays with a fake family photo of a new wife and 2 kids. He paid a few people to pose as the family to freak out his extended family. A feminist artist created “the pussy bow,” which is a silk scarf patterned with images of the inside of her vagina. Anonymous has called on a special day for the world to troll ISIS, using the #DAESHBAGS. Cenk loves the idea. A study has shown that people who tend to be attracted to seemingly profound quotes online are not very smart. Ana is uncomfortable with the mean spiritedness of this study.
