Cenk gives a mention from an Old School podcast on the Tim Woo article in The Atlantic on how the airlines have developed “calculated misery” and remembers a phrase called “consumer focus” that the airline industry is not a big fan of. Ana joins Cenk for SCS. The Obama Administration will field questions from 3 of the most popular YouTube personalities after the State of the Union, none of which have a political slant to their shows. Video of a WH reporter grilling the spokesperson for not having professional journalists interview the president, invoking “Charlie bit my finger, or David Goes to the Dentist.” Cenk and Ana were disgusted by the pompous tone of the question. A restaurant in China assesses the good looks of patrons before allowing them in, where only the beautiful eat for free. Cenk isn’t offended by this move and he would try it, since he has nothing to lose. Ana thinks its terrible and wouldn’t get involved. Researchers found a correlation between the amount of money spent on people’s weddings and the longevity of their marriages. They found that the more spent on the wedding, the less likely it was for divorce. Speculation ensues. Jayar includes the cost of divorce in why couples with less money for expensive weddings don’t get divorced as much. Cenk talks about the “tiny” ring he got for his wife. Another study found that unmarried couples living together tend to be happier than married couples. An Ohio high school substitute teacher will be standing trial for showing “The ABC’s of Death” in a Spanish class. Iran is launching an official website to encourage marriage for people between the ages of 30-50. Environmentalists are concerned about an upcoming music festival in Taiwan where the water supply is in danger from the concert goers' consumption of drugs. Cenk hosts TYT. After Fox News has declared that France and other European countries allow “No Go Zones” to create radical Muslims, residents of Paris have responded. Video of Hasselbeck and an expert perpetuating the lie. Video of a French show interviewing French residents in Fox’s No Go Zones to see how much they’re like Afghanistan. Cenk predicts that there is something wrong with Elisabeth Hasselbeck in her brain. American religious radicals like Bill Donohue have responded to the Charlie Hebdo attacks with understanding of how upset the terrorists were. Video of Pat Buchanan pointing out that they were understandably upset over the cartoons, and that the animators should’ve expected it. Former Congressman Joe Walsh tweeted that CNN and MSNBC journalists should be beheaded for not showing the Charlie Hebdo cartoons. Other GOPers are upset that Obama isn’t screaming Islamic terrorism or Islamic Jihad. Video of O’Reilly calling it dangerous. Video of Sen Graham voicing his disappointment that Obama won’t call it a religious war. Cenk points out that both terrorists and Republicans agree that we should fight a religious war. After Rupert Murdoch caught hell from Aziz Ansari for his “cancer” tweet about Muslims’ responsibility to stop Jihadists, he finally responded with a back peddling tweet. Ansari responded by teasing him for being pushed into a fake apology tweet. Mike Huckabee is gearing up for his run at president by criticizing the Obama’s for allowing their daughters to listen to and watch Beyonce and her sexualized lyrics. All of this righteousness came after he invited several rock artists on his FoxNews show to play sexually charged songs like Cat Scratch Fever. Video of Huckabee’s performance with him. An open carry Texas gun group confronted their legislator that was planning on voting against their interests, insinuating threats. Video of the confrontation. Cenk imagines if Black people or Muslim citizens went into a White legislators office saying that he won’t be there very long. The NRA is pushing to pass a law that allows stalkers with restraining owners to have concealed weapons. Another wing of the NRA is suing a Pennsylvania town over an ordinance that restricts minors from having guns, or discharging them in public parks. Jamie Dimon declared that the banks are under assault. This whining came right after he reported that his bank made $40 billion over the last 2 years.
