The Young Turks: June 18, 2014

Gina Grad joins Cenk for SCS.  The Federal patent office has rejected the Washington Redskins patent, not allowing them to sue many entities that may use the logo and name without permission.  This ruling doesn’t make the owners change the name of the team.  An El Paso police officer has not been charged after shooting and killing a handcuffed man in their custody.  A Denver man was arrested by police and smuggled meth and a small handgun in his butt.  Once they got to the station, he pulled the gun from his ass while handcuffed, and shot at the officers 3 times. A travel dating website conducted a study that showed its members believe the sexiest men are from Australia, followed by Italy and Britain.  Steve Oh voices his opposition to this “White” list that has screwed the people of Belgium out of their deserved top 10 standing.  The sexiest women hail from Brazil, followed by Russia and Colombia.  Gina thinks Greek men should’ve made the list.  Researchers discovered two male bears performing oral sex on each other multiple times.  The Duke pornstar will have to pay $15,000 more for her college tuition since she is making a decent income from her porn.  She is now considering dropping out.  Japan has outlawed child pornography, but allowed it to continue to exist in their animation.  Cenk remembers Michael Hastings, as he was killed 1 year ago today. Cenk hosting today.  Glenn Beck has come out and pulled a 180 on his opinion of our involvement in Iraq.  He admitted that Liberals were right about the false invasion and that we need to get out immediately.  Harry Reid also spoke up about how he voted the wrong way on the Iraq War, due to being misled by the Republicans on the reasons to invade.  When it came to the Conservative conspiracy theories on the timing of the capture of the Benghazi suspect, the talking point is picking up steam with talkers, Fox News anchors, and politicians alike.  In response, Harry Reid called their pathetic desire to criticize Obama so great that they’ll disregard American successes.  Cenk notices the new, biting language from Harry Reid. One of the suspects involved in the Benghazi embassy is still on the loose.  It has been discovered that he was previously captured and held in Gitmo, until the Bush Administration released him in 2007 and sent him to Libya.  President Obama’s poll numbers are at their lowest point of 41% and MSNBC’s Chuck Todd thinks the message from the American people is that his presidency is over.  When Bill O’Reilly argued with Kirsten Powers over allowing immigrant children to stay in the country, she shut him down when she pointed out that he never complained about the costs of the Iraq War. Tesla owner Elon Musk has decided to make all of his patents public and explained that it is detrimental to the goal of ridding ourselves of fossil fuels if he keeps the secrets to himself.
