The Young Turks: November 04, 2013

Cenk gives an Indiegogo campaign update. Fox News continues to hammer the Obama administration on “lying” about being able to keep an existing health care plan if chosen over new options available from the implementation of the ACA. It turns out that this promise wasn’t true, but most are finding new plans to be superior to their current healthcare plan. Many healthcare plans’ costs cannot be determined yet with the ongoing website glitches obscuring subsidies that may be available, but not shown. Some healthcare companies such as Humana are taking advantage of the ACA rollout confusion by sending out misleading letters tricking some of their customers to sign up for more expensive plans even though they aren’t necessary to comply with the legislation. According to Mark Halperen’s new book about the Obama administration, Double Down, President Obama was overheard as saying he’s “really good at killing people,” while discussing the drone strike program. Whether or not the exact words were spoken by the president is questionable, the substance is not. The names of chairs and the conference room in the new studio are now up for grabs in the Indiegogo campaign. Visit indiegogo.com/projects/tyt-let-s-build-it-together-the-young-turks for more info. US Commander Michael Vannak Khem Misiewicz is accused of taking bribes of prostitutes and Lady Gaga concert tickets from Malaysian business man Leonard “Fat Leonard” Francis in exchange for military secrets. Leonard Francis wanted information about the position of naval vessels in order to inflate tariffs and other trade charges. Russian Nationalists held a rally in Moscow in which anti-immigration laws and other far-right policies were demanded. Senator Rand Paul and Rachel Maddow have been trading jabs over Maddow and others’ accusations of plagiarism. Paul went on Fox News and said that he wished he could challenge Rachel Maddow to a duel in Kentucky if the accusations persist. Indiegogo update. Lightning Round! Toronto Mayor Rob Ford admits to drunken incidents but still denies using crack and being caught on video. Protests break out in Tehran, Iran. With two more days to go, Democratic candidate Terry McAuliffe is leading Ken Cuccinelli in the Virginia gubernatorial race.  Help TYT Build a new studio by supporting our Indiegogo Campaign!  CLICK here: http://igg.me/at/TYTNetwork/.  Thank you!  #IamTYT Look for TYT Announcements from Ambassador Jenny here: http://bit.ly/TYTForum
