Some on the religious right are finally admitting that global warming is actually happening. Before you breathe a sigh a relief, wait until you hear their “reasoning”. Apparently, global warming is God’s punishment for our sins and has decided to lift his protection from the planet, according to televangelist David Barton. Televangelist Joel Osteen makes a hilarious tweet in which he unintentionally promoted masturbation as part of friendship. After the mistake was pointed out to the pastor, he went on to delete the tweet. The saga of Toronto Mayor Rob Ford continues. The Mayor may have called in to a local radio show under an alias so he could defend his own reputation after drug allegations. When the caller known as “Ian” was asked directly by the radio host if he was in actuality Rob Ford, the caller immediately hung up the phone. While speaking at the AIMS Alternative Investment Conference hosted by Goldman Sachs, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was paid $400,000. Is this situation and others like it a form of legalized bribery for the next potential president? This money is not considered a campaign contribution since she is currently not officially running for office and does not currently hold any office. Nevertheless, she is undoubtedly running in 2016. Ana Kasparian joins Cenk, Ben, and Steve for the second hour. Cenk reads #TYTLive tweets. There was a shooting this morning at LAX. The lone gunman has been identified as Paul Ciancia. The man is a resident of New Jersey and California and allegedly had anti-government material in his car. The shooter was targeting TSA employees during his rampage. What does it say about the status of gun control in the US when an incident like this is almost mundane? Some idiots thought it would be a fantastic idea to dress up in blackface as Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman for Halloween. Numerous tweets were sent out with pictures of the costumes which sparked a backlash. Cenk gives an Indiegogo campaign update. Fox News’ John Stossel explains to Steve Doocy why he thinks women should pay more for health insurance. The federal 5th circuit court of appeals in New Orleans reinstated many of the new restrictions placed on abortions in Texas. The restrictions are a result of the legislation Wendy Davis’ filibuster attempted to block during a special meeting of the Texas legislature. The law has been framed as an effort to “protect the health and safety of Texas women” by Republicans. Cenk updates Indiegogo progress and gives member shoutouts. Research suggests that atheists have more successful marriages than born again christians. Several studies have found similar results. A Baltimore man fakes seizures to “dine and dash.” The man has had over 90 arrests and was arrested at least 8 times this past year for petty theft which is the charge dining and dashing usually falls under.
