This is preposterous as Republicans have claimed the exact same thing. Oops. The government shutdown has much more to it than political gamesmanship and winning and losing. Real life is not a game and the shutdown has real consequences. A poll shows massive disapproval of the government shutdown. What is behind the numbers? House minority leader, Nancy Pelosi, appears on CBS This Morning, characterizing the actions of Democrats as part of a “grand bargain” once again demonstrating that Democrats are “winning” on the shutdown. but “losing” on policy. In a closed-door lunch meeting, Senator Kelly Ayotte and other Republican Senators discussed Ted Cruz’s tactics and lack of an endgame. Bernie Goldberg, a frequent O’Reilly guest and avid conservative, is angry with Fox News broadcasters and Republicans for acting politically suicidal over the government shutdown. New York Times photographer Doug Mills tweets a photo taken by a Capitol Hill staffer of another staffer casually checking his phone while nonchalantly passing a police sniper during the Capitol shooting incident. Is this a perfect metaphor for the normalization of mass shootings and potential mass shootings? Texas Representative Louie Gohmert puts fellow Representative George Holden to sleep while speaking on the House floor and is caught on C-SPAN’s cameras. It’s a TYT Power Panel! The Hobby Lobby in Marlboro, New Jersey doesn’t stock its stores with any Jewish paraphernalia. When employees were confronted, they made anti-semitic remarks toward the customer who then blogged about the encounter. The Vice President of the company  issued statements of apology. The TYT Supreme Court weighs in.

Kaitlyn Hunt, a gay Florida teen, enters in to a plea deal of 4 months in jail in order to avoid registration as a sex offender after having sex with a minor when Kaitlyn was 18 years old. Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul goes a little over-the-top with the public adoration of his wife on twitter, instagram, and interviews. ExxonMobil sues FOX over FX’s use of a second X for the brand of its new comedy channel. A NYC man gets ticketed for not riding in the bike lane. In protest, the rider made a comedic video shedding light on all of the obstacles blocking the designated bike lanes by purposefully running in to the obstructions and falling down.
