Cenk Uygur hosting from YouTube Space LA. House Republicans have voted for defunding the government for a third time due to the ACA being included in the funding bill. Public polling suggests this tactic is unpopular and will not serve the GOP well. The division and polarization over the defunding scheme continues within the Republican party. President Obama’s past cavings to conservative demands seems to have encouraged the Republicans’ outlandish tactics. Some polling has come in after Ted Cruz’s faux-filibuster shenanigans. David Gregory questioned Cruz about his stance on the ACA on Meet the Press. Cruz went on to deny his comparison of the implementation of the ACA to Nazi Germany even though the comparison was documented on C-SPAN. President Clinton encourages Obama not to back down in the face of GOP opposition and obstruction. Senator Elizabeth Warren delivers a speech about the dangers of the pending McCutchen Supreme Court case which could end up being the Citizens United decision on steroids, furthering and solidifying legalized bribery of elected officials. Speculation of Senator Warren’s chances in a Presidential election has begun to stir. Should she run? Of course!!! The Wyoming primary for the U.S. Senate between Liz Cheney and Senator Mike Enzi has sparked a catfight between Alan Simpson, a friend of Senator Enzi’s, and Lynne Cheney. Lynne, the wife of Dick Cheney, intensely told Simpson to “shut up”. The claws are out! Cover your face!
